Who is teaching my children?

This is a very good question!  So we would like to introduce ourselves to you.....

Lauren

Lauren set up Little Stars in 2008 with Simone (We'll mention her in a minute!)  Lauren has studied Trinity Guildhall's syllabus of Speech and Drama from grades 1-8 achieving grade 8 with Distinction in Performance Arts.  Lauren studied A level Music and Drama as well as playing piano and Saxophone.

At age 15 Lauren started assistant teaching at a local stage school and went on to become the assistant singing, acting and dance teacher before teaching the prep school when she was 17.  At 18 Lauren was given the job of full time singing teacher and by 19 was made school coordinator of both the Warrington and Wigan school.  It was at this stage several parents made the suggestion Lauren should be running her own school and Little Stars was born.

Since opening in 2008 we've grown to a school with over 130 pupils, over 300 children have been entered for Trinity Guildhall examinations in Musical Theatre with a 100% pass rate from initial grades through to grade 8, children have participated in countless competitions achieving national and international success as well as performing in full scale productions of Annie, High School Musical, Camp Rock, Les Miserables, Alice in Wonderland and many more.

Lauren also works as a Speech Pathologist and Language Therapist.  Studying Autism, Down Syndrome, Child Psychology, Language Development and Acquisition as well as Vocal Health and Vocal anatomy has been invaluable when working with a large group of children with varied needs.

Meet the Team!

 Class Assistants

All of classes have assistants:

Eve, Emma, Meghan, Megan and Elle are other familiar faces you may come across.

They are all post grade 8 in musical theatre and pursuing a performing arts path themselves.  Elle, Emma and Megan are also level 3 paediatric first aid trained so you can always be reassured that there's a qualified first aider present in every lesson.

Charlotte

Charlotte  joined the team in September 2011.  Charlotte's always been involved in Little Stars from the beginning and is now really enjoying teaching for us regularly.  After studying Performing Arts and Dance at College, Charlotte went to University to study Musical Theatre specialising in dance.  Charlotte also has a masters in social work.
